Phishing and Fake Campaigns – eToro

Analysis of profiles using eToro’s name to harm consumers by stealing information.

Cyabra found that 40% of the Twitter discourse surrounding eToro last month was created by bots with the intent for theft of personal information from the eToro platform. The bots were able to reach over 82,000 Twitter profiles. The bots were able to gain trust due to their ability to interact with one another's posts, creating a fake campaign and manipulating the online narrative.
