UK Vaccine Disinformation Report
A planned campaign spreading Covid vaccine disinformation on Twitter and Facebook.
As the vaccine rollout took place, misinformation sprang up on Twitter and Facebook warning people not to get it because it contained a microchip. Others posted against it on religious grounds. Of 66,000 profiles taking part in the conversation, just under 10% were found to be inauthentic profiles. Communities of posters were uncovered. In one of these communities, 55.1% of members were bad actors.
