Fake Campaigns Surrounding UK Political Figures

Cyabra analyzed online conversations on X surrounding UK political figures Zia Yusuf and Rupert Lowe, and uncovered coordinated bot networks discrediting Zia Yusuf while amplifying support for Rupert Lowe, shaping party narratives and manipulating public perception.

Cyabra uncovered that 39% of the profiles commenting on Lowe’s content were fake, and were part of a coordinated campaign promoting his official X account. Those fake profiles have also successfully infiltrated authentic audiences by engaging with others who commented on Rupert Lowe’s posts.
