Inauthentic profiles are amplifying negative social media commentary regarding American healthcare.

Following the decision to cancel free Covid tests, negative discourse on America’s healthcare spiked, with many calling for free healthcare in the States. The terms “free”, “cost” and “Canada” were particularly popular. Content from the 9% of inauthentic accounts, mostly based in Washington, reached over 23,000 profiles, amplifying the message.
