Discovery of fake Twitter profiles driving discourse on the Depp-Heard trial.
Analysis of the social media conversation regarding the Amber Heard / Johnny Depp trial found that most of it took place on Twitter, of which, 9.5% was by inauthentic accounts. Hashtags were made supporting both figures, but the majority favored Depp. Two orchestrated Twitter campaigns by fake users were found on Twitter, both of which spread content in favor of Johnny Depp.
