Inauthentic users on Twitter shared negative and harmful content against Ecuadorian protesters.

Analysis of more than 4,700 Twitter accounts interacting with content featuring hashtags and phrases relating to the Ecuadorian protests found that 7.29% were inauthentic. While both authentic and inauthentic accounts spread negative comments, inauthentic accounts did so at a higher rate. A community of inauthentic accounts was found to share similar behavior, and content harmful to the protesters.
