A coordinated influence operation involving 2,627 inauthentic profiles was identified targeting U.S. audiences to shape discourse on U.S.-Nigeria relations.
Between November 1 and November 26, 2025, the network used emotive narratives of religious persecution to pressure U.S. policymakers and Donald Trump into intervening in Nigerian internal affairs.
By infiltrating authentic user clusters, the campaign achieved a potential reach of 5.2 million views and successfully prompted real users to unintentionally amplify manipulated content.
