CNN Social Media Analysis

An analysis of inauthentic accounts leading conversations about CNN on social media.

Of all the content related to CNN, 11.8% was negative in nature. Among inauthentic accounts, 11.3% of comments were negative. However negative commentary spiked significantly toward the end of the period, after a CNN technical director was caught on tape saying the station planned to stoke fear over climate change. Other common topics of discussion were Trump, with 10.5% of this content coming from inauthentic users.
