Cognitive Warfare

A concept associated with NATO and other defense organizations that describes efforts to influence or disrupt human perception, decision-making, and societal cohesion through activities conducted in the information environment. Unlike traditional forms of conflict, cognitive warfare seeks to shape how individuals and communities interpret information and make decisions, often through coordinated narratives, information manipulation, or influence operations.
