Following Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, Cyabra uncovered massive numbers of fake profiles.

On August 2, 2022, Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, visited Taiwan, an act that could be seen as recognition of Taiwan’s independence. China, which considers Taiwan part of its territory, responded not only by public and personal sanctions, but also with a raging social discourse, in which Cyabra found a 70.4% inauthetic profiles spreading negative content against Taiwan and treating it as part of China.
