Cracker Barrel Backlash Amplified by Fake Profiles

Following Cracker Barrel's logo change, Cyabra uncovered a fake campaign attacking the company's reputation online.

After Cracker Barrel announced a logo change, Cyabra conducted an in-depth analysis of a coordinated disinformation campaign targeting the company.

In parallel with the surge of fake profile activity, Cracker Barrel’s stock dropped sharply by approximately 10.5% within just a few days.

21% of the profiles in the conversation were fake. Fake profiles amplified negative narratives using hashtags like  #BoycottCrackerBarrel, #CrackerBarrelHasFallen, #CrackerBarrelCEO, and #CrackerBarrelIsFinished. Content spread by fake profiles reached over 4,452,000 potential views, significantly amplifying the scale of the negative discourse.
