Analysis of inauthentic accounts discussing Gucci on Twitter, and the negative impact.
Scanning Twitter for conversations regarding Gucci fashion house revealed more than 10,000 profiles taking part, of which 14.2% were inauthentic. Most of the accounts involved in the conversation, both real and fake, were based in the United States. Both real and fake accounts were found to be spreading negative content regarding Gucci’s new red bag, released in collaboration with 100 Thieves. A community of twitter users were discovered posting similar content.
